For Immediate Release The Oliver E. Jones Center for Global Entrepreneurship Proposed for Hampton University’s School of Religion HAMPTON, VA — In a landmark moment for entrepreneurial education and Kingdom innovation, Dr. Oliver E. Jones has formally presented the proposal to establish the Oliver E. Jones Center for Global Entrepreneurship within the Hampton University School of Religion, under the Public Theology and Community Engagement vertical. The proposed Center is envisioned as a prophetic-academic innovation hub designed to equip a global generation of entrepreneurs, theologians, and reformers to build systems that restore communities, govern economies, and disciple nations. Dr. Jones, who has served nearly a decade including as Department Chair of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies within Hampton University’s School of Business, is transitioning into this new chapter at the culmination of his 10th year. “This next scroll represents a blending of prophetic governance, Kingdom entrepreneurship, and academic stewardship,” Jones shared.“I am grateful for the ground we’ve tilled these past ten years, and now look forward to stewarding a new mandate that bridges faith, business, and public theology.” The proposed Center would function as the academic-prophetic arm of Scroll City, SourceEnergy Technologies Ltd.’s prophetic-technical innovation hub, creating an educational pipeline from Jamaica’s Glenmuir High School Scroll City to Hampton University and into global deployment. The initiative would include the co-development of Associate, BA, Masters, and PhD programs, creating a unique academic pathway integrating entrepreneurship, cooperative economics, public theology, and prophetic innovation under the School of Religion’s governance. A formal presentation of the proposal was made before Hampton University leaders, including President Lt. Darrell K. Williams (center), Dean Rev. Dr. Debora Haggins (to his right), and Dr. Oliver E. Jones (second from his left),alongside faculty, administrators, and key stakeholders—marking the culmination of a decade of impact and the opening of a new scroll of legacy.
